How WCell Tests Every Device

At WCell, every device is inspected and tested by trained technicians before it is listed for sale. Our goal is to make sure each device is functional, ready for reuse, and accurately represented before it reaches the customer.

All devices are tested for full functions, R2/Ready for Reuse, and checked to confirm they are free of major account locks, carrier issues, and blacklist concerns.

Some features may only apply to specific models. For example, Touch ID, Face ID, 3D Touch, wireless charging, audio jack, and Home button testing only apply when the device supports those features.

4	Charge port functions	Primary	The charging port is tested to confirm the device can charge properly.
5	Power button functions	Primary	The power button is tested to confirm it turns the device on, off, or wakes the screen as expected.
6	SIM card tray and SIM port check	Primary	The SIM tray is checked to confirm it is present and fits properly into the SIM card port.
7	Able to connect to tower / place test call	Primary	The device is checked to confirm it can connect to a cellular network and place a test call when applicable.
8	All microphones function	Primary	Microphones are tested to confirm the device can pick up sound properly during calls, recordings, or voice input.
9	Battery holds a sufficient charge	Primary	The battery is checked to confirm it can hold enough charge for normal use.
10	No FMIP, MDM, or other account lock activated	Primary	The device is checked for Find My iPhone, Mobile Device Management, or other account locks that could prevent normal use.

2	Loudspeaker functions	Secondary	The loudspeaker is tested for sound output.
13	Volume up and volume down buttons function	Secondary	Both volume buttons are tested to confirm they respond correctly.
14	Home button functions, if applicable	Secondary	The Home button is tested on devices that include one.
15	Liquid damage sensor has not been activated	Secondary	The device is inspected for signs that the liquid damage indicator has been triggered.
16	A/B/C cosmetic check	Secondary	The device is visually inspected and graded based on cosmetic condition.
17	Touch ID or Face ID functions, if applicable	Secondary	Biometric security features are tested on supported devices.
18	All front cameras function	Secondary	Front-facing cameras are tested to confirm they open and capture images properly.
19	Earpiece speaker functions	Secondary	The earpiece speaker is tested to confirm call audio can be heard properly.
20	WiFi and Bluetooth connect and function	Secondary	Wireless connections are tested to confirm the device can connect to WiFi and Bluetooth.
21	All menu keys function, if applicable	Secondary	Any additional menu or navigation keys are tested on devices that include them.
22	No IMEI issues	Secondary	The device IMEI is checked for issues that may affect activation or carrier use.
23	Ringer on/off switch functions	Secondary	The mute/ringer switch is tested on devices that include one.
24	Vibrator functions	Secondary	The vibration motor is tested to confirm haptic or vibration alerts work.
25	Proximity sensor functions	Secondary	The proximity sensor is tested to confirm the screen responds properly during calls.

31	No activation lock	Secondary	The device is checked to confirm there is no activation lock preventing setup or use.
32	Device is not blacklisted	Secondary	The device is checked to confirm it is not listed as blocked or blacklisted.
33	Device is not jailbroken	Secondary	The device is checked to confirm it has not been modified with unauthorized software.
34	SIM card is removed from device	Quality Only	Any previous SIM card is removed before the device is sold.
35	Device carrier is confirmed	Quality Only	The device carrier information is checked to help ensure the listing is accurate.
